Cambridge Sensoriis is a UK SME with deep expertise in radar technology, whose mission has been to develop radar solutions in a micro form, specifically for use on Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles (UAV), providing precision range (to 1cm accuracy), bearing/azimuth, elevation and velocity data.
ARC is the 'Active Radar Cooperating' between a Primary radar (on the UAV) and ground-based Secondary radars. ARC provides precision positional information for the UAV to support applications such as autonomous landing (even on moving platforms such as vessel decks), and assured localisation, i.e. tethering the UAV to a defined travel zone or loitering position.
RadarAware is a low SWaP (<500g), micro-radar designed for deployment on UAVs to support obstacle detection for collision avoidance, with associated tracking.
Cambridge Sensoriis’ technology is actively collaborating with customers and partners in their pursuit of BVLOS drone operations, offering resilience to poor weather/visibility conditions and GNSS denied scenarios.
