Lixea transforms agricultural residues and waste wood into high‑value materials using its patented Dendronic process, an ionic‑liquid biomass fractionation technology that runs at low temperature with a safe, recyclable solvent. It produces pure cellulose (including dissolving pulp), odour‑free lignin and speciality chemicals for moulded packaging fibres, resins, adhesives, plastics and bitumen substitutes, enabling fossil‑to‑bio substitution across chemicals, biomaterials, energy and food. Lixea targets chemical manufacturers, packaging producers and bioenergy players, supplying from its Swedish pilot while partnering to scale. Backed by the EU Innovation Fund, L1X will demonstrate 25,000‑tonnes‑per‑year in Slovakia with 79% lower emissions, processing mixed and treated feedstocks.
