Siloton develops photonic chips to miniaturise the predominant imaging technology in eye medicine. These are manufactured in a similar way to the electronic chips that power your mobile phone but, instead of processing data, they guide light.

Siloton’s new generation of personal eye scanner will be portable, self-operated, and mass-manufacturable. It is a landmark development for those with eye disease, enabling personalised treatments that will more effectively prevent sight loss. We are also learning that devices like this can be used to detect the early warning signs of diseases like Parkinson’s and dementia, well before symptoms would otherwise appear. Siloton is building a product so that everyone will be able to access these incredible eye scans and benefit from the information they convey.
