The Max is a 300kWh battery energy storage system for Commercial and Industrial customers. It uniquely uses repurposed EV batteries from prematurely written off electric vehicles, combining mixed lithium-ion battery chemistries, to realise a system that is 2-2.5x cheaper and 60% lower embedded CO2 than other short duration ESS, with a superior LCOS.
Mobile and modular, the Max is intelligently managed via the cloud to maximise life, safety and performance. It helps factories, commercial and residential buildings to decarbonise, reduce energy costs by up to 50% and provide community benefits.
The use of written-off EV batteries, reduces waste to landfill and improves the carbon intensity of energy used through increase renewable generation throughout the system. Each one of our Max systems will save 140t of CO2 per year. We also expect to realise a 173,000t cumulative waste reduction by 2030 through repurposing of batteries.
