From inception, BladeBUG has worked on designing agile, intuitive and scalable robotic platforms for the wind industry to reduce the high risks and costs associated with operations and maintenance. Our patented designs, modularity and unique features enable the robots to walk, manoeuvre and work on large composite structures with complex geometries, such as wind turbine blades. A payload bay accommodates industry standard or customised tools allowing customers to perform precision tasks or inspection, maintenance and repair campaigns with accurate and repeatable results. Offered as a tool to industry, our robotic platforms offer remote working to support expertise and skills shortages as well as improved safer working environments marking a significant stride towards digital transformation in this rapidly advancing industry.
