Holiferm has developed a patented fermentation process with integrated gravity separation technology to use in the manufacture of biosurfactants and other molecules. This process was initially developed by our CEO, Ben Dolman, as part of his PhD studies at the University of Manchester. In the six years since the company was incorporated it has grown to more than 50 employees and with two sites. A bespoke research and development facility in Manchester drives the development and refinement of the process, as well as designing new methods for the production of a range of molecules. A commercial biosurfactant plant in Wallasey is the engine of the company manufacturing our products for our global customers. This facility also houses a pilot plant where we are able to test and scale our processes before putting them to commercial use.
